Fantasy Hair

Are you ready to unleash your colorful side with vibrant fantasy hair? Our stylists are experts at transforming hair into magical, eye-catching shades. From electric blues to bubblegum pinks, ombre lilac or a full head of neon, get ready to turn heads with fantasy hair.

How to Get Flawless Fantasy Hair

Achieving seamless, long-lasting fantasy hair color is an intricate process, and it’s best to start with a clean slate. Unless you have natural platinum blonde hair, we will need to carefully bleach your strands so that your new hues will be vibrant and saturated.

If you are looking for pastel hues like mint, lavender, or cotton candy pink, we may need to lighten your hair to an ultra light blonde base which can take several sessions to keep your hair as healthy as possible.

Once we have a blank canvas, we can tailor color hues and placement to match your vision using professional products designed to lock in vibrancy.

Maintaining Your Fantasy Color

Fantasy shades are prone to fading. Follow these tips from our experts to keep your color fresh:

  • Limit washing hair to 1-2 times per week
  • Try to use cool or lukewarm water, not hot when washing
  • Wear a hat when out in the sun
  • Avoid excessive heat styling
  • Use high-quality color-safe haircare products

Even with perfect care, you’ll likely need color refreshes every 4-6 weeks. Book regular appointments to keep your fantasy hair looking its best!

FAQs

How long does fantasy hair last?

We use semi-permanent dyes for fantasy hair, meaning the color sits on top of the hair rather than penetrating the strand. With proper haircare, most fantasy shades will last 4-6 weeks before fading significantly.

How do I keep my fantasy hair looking vibrant?

Fantasy hair requires special attention. To keep your hair color vibrant, using a sulfate-free shampoo, try to only wash your hair 1-2 times a week (dry shampoo is your best friend), minimize heat on your hair, and always use a heat protectant. We also recommend using a deep conditioning mask once a week to keep your hair moisturized. Some fantasy colors may benefit from using a color depositing shampoo to brighten up your color.

Are some colors better than others?

Certain colors can fade more quickly than others. Pastels are harder to maintain which is great if you like to switch things up, but it does mean more upkeep. Deeper jewel tones tend to have greater staying power.

How much does fantasy hair cost?

Every fantasy hair color service is customized based on the specific look, techniques, and amount of pre-lightening required for your desired look. Because of this personalized approach, we charge an hourly rate of $80, whether you want color blocking, color melts, balayage, prisms, kaleidoscopes, or an all-over application. This rate includes Olaplex treatment to maintain hair integrity, a haircut if desired, and a blowout and style.

  • If you already have blonde hair and don’t need prelightening, expect around 2-3 hours.
  • If you have an existing vivid color that needs removal first, plan for 3-4 hours.
  • For those with dark hair (natural or dyed), the full lightening process can take around 6-8 hours.
